This encounter with the beautifully diverse Iceland was amazing. Every day of the trek was like a different lunar landscape or mountain range. We did the trekking with tents in our backpacks. It was hard to fall asleep because it’s also light at night in the summer. As the icing on the cake, the Fagradalsfjall volcano started spewing its stunning molten rock. Witnessing a volcanic eruption had been on my bucket list for years.
